Culcheth Community Day

21 May 2011
Culcheth Community Day A very enjoyable day. The weather was lovely albeit quite windy (lots of Mary Poppins impressions going on!).
The organisers did a fantastic job and really drew in the crowds. They must have worked ever so hard.

We try to include as much variety on our stalls as we can. We had bric-a-brac and some beautiful jewellery items. Our tombolas are always well received so we're always grateful to receive unwanted gifts and soft toys that have gone passed their "loved by " date. As you can see from the picture we always put them to very good use.

We also have a couple of particularly green-fingered members in our group and the offering of plants from Barbara and tomato plants from Jean (the aptly named variety -,money maker) all did great.  Do you like growing plants and cuttings?  Maybe this is how you'd like to help us.

Sheila especially enjoyed chatting to the owners of cats and kittens she's homed in the past and hearing how they're getting on so thanks to all who visited our stalls whether to buy or just browse and chat.

Don't forget to pay us a visit at our next event  (please take a look at our events page).- We look forward to seeing you.
